Coach Derek
Youth tennis coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Lafayette, Louisiana, United States
- Unity Football Club
- Since 1987
- English
For 39 years I've run the tennis program at Unity Football Club in Lafayette. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Coach Derek
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Derek: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
