Coach Derek
Youth hockey coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States
- Grand Rapids Youth Club
- Since 2012
- English, Spanish
I've coached hockey at Grand Rapids Youth Club since 2012. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
