I've coached netball at Jakarta Barat Rosewood Football Club since 1995. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
More about Coach Ayu
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Ayu: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
