I coached wrestling at Cedar Grove Swimming Club from 1983 to 2013. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
