Coach Asuka
Coached gymnastics for 37 years in Kyoto
- 🇯🇵 Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan
- Kyoto Athletic Club
- 1984 to 2021
- English, Japanese
For 37 years I ran the gymnastics program at Kyoto Athletic Club in Kyoto. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Coach Asuka: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
