For 43 years I've run the softball program at Cape Town Phoenix Football Club in Cape Town. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you played for me, you probably remember the end-of-term party.
What gifts mean to Coach Anele: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
