I coached cricket at Zanzibar City Lakeview Youth Club from 1981 to 2016. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
What gifts mean to Coach Akinyi: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

you coached me in 2009. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Mwanza.
