Chidinma Jumoke Shittu
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Works
- Since 1981
- English
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1981 in Lagos and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Chidinma
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Chidinma: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
