I'm a chess coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 1,510 kids fall in love with the game.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Charlotte
If you played for me, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

What gifts mean to Charlotte: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the cold winter when we all kept our coats on. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Mandaue.
