I coached softball at Maple Ridge Athletic Club from 2013 to 2021. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Coach Adeline: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the rainy sports day. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Kikuyu.
