Caroline Joyce Barasa

Youth chess coach and mentor

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Since 1986
  • English
For 40 years I've run the chess program at Dar es Salaam Crown Boxing Gym in Dar es Salaam. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turn anyone away.
