My trade is upholstery. I opened my own shop in 1980 in Austin and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
More about Caroline
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
