Büşra Şule Polat
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇩🇪 Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany
- Central Workshop
- Since 2001
- German, Turkish
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 2001 in Wiesbaden and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Büşra: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
