I taught materials science at Gaziantep Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2015, and supervised 20 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Burcu
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Burcu: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
