Birtukan Mekonnen
Mentor in entrepreneurship and teaching
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Addis Ababa Youth Network
- Since 2000
- English, Amharic
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,040 people through Addis Ababa Youth Network.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Birtukan: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
