Bezawit Almaz Berhe
Singing and tabla teacher
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Jacaranda Quartet
- 2000 to 2011
- English
I play singing and tabla. I started in 2000 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 9 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Bezawit
I wrote my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Bezawit: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
