Berhanu Surafel Shiferaw
Mentor in leadership and software
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Eastgate Foundation
- 2009 to 2023
- English, Amharic
For 14 years I've mentored people in leadership and software. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Berhanu
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.

What gifts mean to Berhanu: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
