For 13 years I ran the athletics program at St. Anne's Youth Club in Kitakyushu. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ayaka
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Ayaka: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
