Atieno Grace Mwende

37 years teaching home economics in Jinja

  • 🇺🇬 Jinja, Eastern Region, Uganda
  • Jinja Technical College
  • Since 2004
  • English, Swahili
I teach home economics and history at Jinja Technical College, Jinja. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it. Over the years I've had 550 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Atieno

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
