I've spent 43 years as a lecturer in civil engineering at Elmwood State University in São Paulo. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I write a short note to every student at the end of term. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Aparecida
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Aparecida: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.

Thank you for the extension in 1998. I never forgot it. Greetings from Bakersfield.
