I coached netball at Madurai Swimming Club from 1987 to 2011. Most of my players were between 12 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Anika
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Anika: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
