Ángel N. Herrera
Coached rowing for 42 years in San Jose
- 🇺🇸 San Jose, California, United States
- Since 1984
- English, Spanish
For 42 years I've run the rowing program at San Jose Good Shepherd Youth Club in San Jose. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ángel
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
