Amparo P. Serrano

Coached athletics for eleven years in Bogotá

I coached athletics at Bogotá Swimming Club from 1987 to 1998. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
