I've worked in painting and decorating since 1998. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,600 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 19 years later for another job.
More about Aminata
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Aminata: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
