Alyssa Woods
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇦🇺 Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
- Little Sydney Works
- Since 1995
- English
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 1995 in Sydney and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Alyssa
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Alyssa: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
