Álvaro A. Valdez
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇦🇷 Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina
- Redwood Community Club
- Since 2005
- English, Spanish
I've coached rowing at Redwood Community Club since 2005. Most of my players were between 9 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
I'm still learning every day.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
