Alka F. Meena

Master of baking, now teaching apprentices

  • 🇺🇸 Springfield, Missouri, United States
  • Springfield Trades Guild
  • 1989 to 2008
  • English, Hindi
My trade is baking. I opened my own shop in 1989 in Springfield and I'm still there most mornings. I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Alka

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
