Alice N. Matthews
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Lexington, Kentucky, United States
- Little Lotus Workshop
- Since 1996
- English
I've worked in painting and decorating since 1996. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,590 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
More about Alice
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Alice: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
