Akello Nyambura Mbwambo
Master of masonry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- The Atlas Shop
- Since 1980
- English, Swahili
I've worked in masonry since 1980. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,790 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
More about Akello
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
What gifts mean to Akello: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
