Akello Chebet Urassa
Glass art and sculpture artist
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Parkside Art Collective
- Since 1998
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in glass art, sometimes sculpture. My first show was in 1998 at Parkside Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Parkside Art Collective, which keeps me honest.
More about Akello
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

What gifts mean to Akello: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
