Akello Atieno Mushi
Saxophone and accordion teacher
- 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Kinondoni Jacaranda Ensemble
- 2012 to 2024
- English, Swahili
I play saxophone and accordion. I started in 2012 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.
More about Akello
I wrote my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Akello: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
