Aisha Uche Ogunleye

Painter, potter and teacher at Old Ibadan Art Collective

  • 🇳🇬 Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria
  • Old Ibadan Art Collective
  • 1984 to 2004
  • English, Igbo
I'm a woodcarving artist based in Ibadan. I've been making things from 1984 to 2004 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives. Most of my work is inspired by markets and street scenes. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. I'm still learning every day.

More about Aisha

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
