Ahmed F. Joubert
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇿🇦 Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
- Pretoria Trades Guild
- Since 1993
- English, Afrikaans
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 1993 in Pretoria and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 23 years later for another job.
More about Ahmed
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Ahmed: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
