Adhiambo Janet Otieno
Master of tiling, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Nakuru, Nakuru, Kenya
- Old Nakuru Works
- Since 2007
- English, Swahili
I've worked in tiling since 2007. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,050 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Adhiambo: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
