Yolanda's final semester of an electrical engineering diploma in Santa Fe
Yolanda is one semester away from finishing an electrical engineering diploma but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $1,150.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an electrical engineering diploma at Santa Fe State College, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,150.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Santa Fe State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $250
• Final term tuition: $770
• Exam and lab fees: $60
• Textbooks and materials: $70
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
