I coordinate donations at Pioneer Women's Shelter in Mukono. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Mukono, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Pioneer Women's Shelter on Thursday between 11am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Pioneer Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Glad we found this place.

Stay strong. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Khon Kaen.
Best of luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings
You're not alone, Akello. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
