Gazipur
I coordinate donations at the Union Family Centre in Gazipur. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Gazipur, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Union Family Centre on Wednesday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Union Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I hope life is good to you.

  • Sending strength, Joy. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Put this on a community board in Lagos this morning.

    • I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Gazipur.

you're not alone, Joy. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.

        • You're not alone. Hope this works out for you. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings.
