I coordinate donations at the Sycamore Mosque in Campinas. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Campinas, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Sycamore Mosque on Wednesday between 10am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Sycamore Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Wishing you peace, Natália. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.
Thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Campinas
Thinking of you and your family, Natália. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Enugu this morning.
Wishing you peace, Natália. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We're a small family in Dar es Salaam but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Campinas.
best of luck, Natália. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Take care.
