I coordinate donations at the Lotus Family Centre in Los Angeles. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Los Angeles, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Lotus Family Centre on Tuesday between 11am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Lotus Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Sending love, Randall. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Istanbul this morning. All the best.

    • Hope things get better soon. I hope things turn around soon. After 13 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.

      • wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Salvador but we're thinking of you. Take care.
