Coats, boots, hats and gloves are needed before the cold snap.

I coordinate donations at the Acacia Community Church in Palmira. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Palmira, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Acacia Community Church on Saturday between 9am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Acacia Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Keep going, Salvador. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. All the best.
Stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 26 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything
it takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care

Hope it all works out, Salvador. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
