I coordinate donations at the Jacaranda Family Centre in Spokane. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Spokane, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Jacaranda Family Centre on Friday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Jacaranda Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Sending love, Valentina. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. It's not much but it's yours

    • Take care. This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings.

      • Thinking of you. Hope this works out for you. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
