Winda's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Winda won a place at Jakarta Selatan Boys' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Grade 9 at Jakarta Selatan Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become a nurse. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $150 goes:
• Textbooks and workbooks: $40
• School uniform and shoes: $25
• Laptop: $85
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

praying for you, Winda. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Frankfurt but we're thinking of you. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Winda. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn.
Thanks for sharing this. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Saint Petersburg so I could bring a meal.
Rooting for you, Winda. Study hard! Please keep us posted
Rooting for you, Winda. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
