Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Tiruchirappalli.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 18 families, and now we feed 327 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Tiruchirappalli market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $250 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $50
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $105
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $95
With deep gratitude,
Shilpa

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Shilpa
Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care
Praying for you, Shilpa. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Asaba donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Asaba.
Wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
