Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Nagpur
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Nagpur is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Saturday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 281 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nagpur market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $320
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $75
• Refrigeration and electricity: $5
Thank you so much.

Thank you all. We're at 65% now ($260). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for fresh vegetables and fruit is now scheduled.

Praying for you, Vinod. Shared this with my family. I'll check back for the next update.
Rooting for you. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did!
praying for you, Vinod. Hope you get there. After 26 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best
