Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Nagpur
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Nagpur is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Saturday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 281 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nagpur market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $320
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $75
• Refrigeration and electricity: $5

Quick update: $100 raised so far (25%). we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Small update. $120 so far, I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity.
