Weekly meals for families and seniors in Lyon
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Lyon is running low just as demand rises; $2,250 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Sunday from the back of a community center. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 87 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 52% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Lyon market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $230
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,050
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $970
