We lost everything in the tornado: help the families of Old Town Lane start over
After the tornado, families in the families of Old Town Lane need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The tornado hit the families of Old Town Lane on 11 September. My home was one of 88 damaged, and 11 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $8,500 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $3,000
• Clean water and purification supplies: $390
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,600
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,300
• Tools and labor for repairs: $2,210
Thanks for reading all this.

Wishing you the best, Piper. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Mecca this morning. Love from Mecca.
so sorry you're going through this. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
