We lost everything in the ice storm: help Riverside village start over
After the ice storm, families in Riverside village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The ice storm hit Riverside village on 21 July. My home was one of 79 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $4,550 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $980
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,850
• Food parcels for displaced families: $720
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Kediri.
Take care, Piper. More neighborhoods should do this. It's not much but it's yours
you're not alone. Looking forward to the next update. Don't give up. Greetings from Wiesbaden
