I coordinate donations at the Unity Family Centre in Rio de Janeiro. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Rio de Janeiro, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Unity Family Centre on Friday between 9am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Unity Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Glad we found this place.

This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Envigado donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
keep going, Isabela. I hope things turn around soon
Stay strong, Isabela. Hope this works out for you. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Stay strong, Isabela. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Sending love, Isabela. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
so sorry you're going through this, Isabela. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. All the best

rooting for you, Isabela. Looking forward to the next update. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care.
Good luck. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Bangkok donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Rio de Janeiro.

Hope things get better soon, Isabela. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best
