I coordinate donations at the Unity Family Centre in Gazipur. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Gazipur, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Unity Family Centre on Friday between 10am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Unity Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • hope things get better soon, Lipi. Shared this with my family. Take care

    • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Braunschweig.

      • reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Boulogne-Billancourt.
